SSP Summer Staff Positions Available to Young Adults

January 15, 2009

Are you a young adult with a passion for service and youth ministry? Do you want to spend the summer with other young adults with those same passions - working hard, and humbly serving others for God? Then Sierra Service Project (SSP) has the summer job for you!

The life of an SSP staffer is more than just a summer job, though. Team members live and work alongside each other for nine challenging and rewarding weeks. Positions are available in program planning, construction, and cooking. In addition to job-specific tasks, staffers take on the role of spiritual mentor to the hundreds of youth who attend SSP every summer.

SSP works on five reservations in the Western US, South Los Angeles, and Tijuana, Mexico.

Please visit the SSP website for more details and application instructions.

Applications for new applicants are due February 15. Don’t hesitate to call the office at 916-488-6441 with any questions.

Sierra Service Project, founded by United Methodist pastors, is a non-profit organization "providing life-changing experiences" to youth and young adults through acts of service.
