For 25 years, the Ecumenical Retired Clergy group has held an annual "Retired Clergy Round-up." This year's retreat, "From Aging to Sage-ing: Spirituality and Creativity," has been scheduled for January 13-14, 2009 in Danville, California.
Featured speakers and musicians John and Laura Landgraf will provide stimulating presentations in both worship and music.
John, an ordained American Baptist, is a psychotherapist and teaches at the Fuller Seminary in Menlo Park. He has authored numerous original musical compositions, as well as books and articles, and was the Musical Director for performances at the Plush Room in San Francisco and at 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, among others.
Laura Landgraf, a speaker, consultant and coach, has developed many successful courses and programs for corporate and small businesses. Her novel, The American African, will be published in 2009.
The Landgrafs married in 2004 and began making music together. Their first CD, Listen to Our Heart, explores the grace-full miracle of “Second Chances.”
The "From Aging to Sage-ing" retreat for retired clergy and spouses will be held at the San Damiano Retreat Center, 710 Highland Drive, Danville, CA 94526.
Cost is $105 per person for double occupancy, $120 for single, and includes overnight accommodations with private baths, plus four meals. For commuters, cost is $50 and includes all meals except breakfast.
