Clergy Spouse Survey Deadline is November 30

November 25, 2008

All spouses of United Methodist clergy persons in the California-Nevada Annual Conference are invited to complete a survey that will shape the United Methodist Church's future responses to clergy spouses and families.

It is sponsored by the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, General Board of Pension and Health Benefits, General Board of Discipleship, and General Board of Higher Education and Ministries. November 30 is the deadline to participate.
Just log on to Look to the right side of the page. Below the heading, "Research" you will see "Clergy Spouse and Family Survey," and under that, a link that says, "Click HERE to take the survey." Just click on that link and follow the directions on the page that opens.
"I was happy to send in my survey this morning. I think it was very insightful," said Carol Leamy, President-Elect of the CA-NV Clergy Spouse Association. "I didn't realize how much I do for our church and our community: so that is where all my time goes!" she laughed. She said she has encouraged all association members to participate.
The Rev. Staci Current, Chair of the CA-NV Commission on the Status and Role of Women, adds, "As a clergy spouse and clergy person, I recognize the need for our voices to be heard. Please take a moment to complete the survey. Your input is invaluable and will greatly impact the expectations and role of future clergy spouses. Thanks for your time and support."
Remember: the survey will close at the end of the day on November 30—which is 10 p.m., PST (midnight, CST).
To protect confidentiality, only one survey per computer is allowed.
