Mark Your Calendars for One or All of the “Welcome Home” Events for Bishop Brown

The Conference Episcopacy Committee, in charge of organizing the official welcome for Bishop Warner H. Brown and his family, has planned an Installation Service on Saturday, October 4 at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Stockton, California. The church is located at 3700 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204. 

They also have two receptions planned: Sunday, October 5 at 4 p.m. at Korean UMC of Santa Clara Valley, 1001 Ginger Lane, San Jose, CA 95128 and Saturday, October 11 at 2 p.m. at Carson City UMC, 412 West Musser Street, Carson City, NV 89703.
In addition to those events, the members of the Black Clergy, in conjunction with Black Methodists for Church Renewal (BMCR) will sponsor a “welcome home” celebration service and reception on Sunday, September 21 at 5 p.m. at Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church in Oakland, CA. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend any or all of the above events.

Members of the Order of Elders will also have an opportunity to visit with Bishop Brown during a one-day meeting on Tuesday, October 21, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at First United Methodist Church of Modesto. For more information contact Sifa Hingano, or (559) 875-3015.
