Interested in taking part in the Conference Lay Minister Program? Sign up now for the training course, being held in November and January.
CLayM was created as an extension of the Lay Speaking Program, to strengthen the ministries of churches unable to support a salaried pastor. Candidates must take CLayM Training, a two week course that provides tools for ministry as well as the opportunity to discern one’s call and to determine the workability and suitability of becoming a lay minister.
Candidates will need to be approved by their District Superintendent to take the course, being held at the United Methodist Center in West Sacramento, California November 17-21 and January 19-23, 2009.
If you’d like to sign up – or just to learn more – contact Training Coordinator Perry Polk at (707) 422-4595, email@example.com.
