Groundbreaking Ceremony for Fallon Daily Bread

August 05, 2008

Fallon Daily Bread – a community supported ministry of Epworth United Methodist Church in Fallon, Nevada – invites you to a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of a new facility, the Wolf Center, on Wednesday, August 13 at 10 a.m.

This construction project was made possible by the generous donation of the land directly to the south of Epworth UMC. Upon completion, in addition to serving hot meals to the hungry, the Wolf Center will provide space to the City of Fallon as an emergency shelter, accommodate groups such as Bike & Build, and provide much needed space for programs such as parenting classes, coat and sleeping bag distribution, and immunization clinics.

Since its inception, a little more than two years ago, Fallon Daily Bread has served approximately 13,000 meals to the elderly, children, and the handicapped. With the completion of the Wolf Center, the ministry will be able to serve more than 1,000 meals each month.
Join in this joyous celebration of volunteerism and community service on August 13 at 10 a.m. at the church, 280 East Stillwater Avenue in Fallon, Nevada.
