Ballot Fifteen Being Tabulated as Delegates Sing

July 18, 2008

July 18, 2008 5:33 p.m. / Portland OR – Balloting began at 5:29 in an attitude of prayer, as instructed by Bishop Shamana. Some members of one delegation began singing a Spiritual, "Lord, hold my hand as I run this race ... I don't want to run this race in vain" softly. Balloting was closed at 5:30 and Bishop Shamana joined in the singing, which quickly filled the hall. Tellers reported that their hope is that they will be bringing a positive result when they report on Ballot 15. Bishop Shamana then announced that we will sing, with each delegation in turn choosing a song, until the next ballot report.
