San Jose DS Appointed to Pilot Ministry

May 29, 2008

Bishop Beverly J. Shamana has announced that she has chosen to appoint the Rev. Nymphas Edwards, now San Jose District Superintendent, to begin a new pilot ministry at a local church on behalf of the Cabinet and California-Nevada Annual Conference. The appointment becomes effective July 1, 2008.

“I am deeply appreciative of the six years Rev. Edwards has served on the Cabinet, where his skills and experience have helped expand the ministry of the San Jose District and the shared vision of our conference,” the Bishop writes, noting his “years of faithful service” in the role of superintendent.
She says the pilot ministry will assist the Cabinet’s strategic planning and local church revitalization, “using the tools of the recently named Council on Congregational Development.”
