San Jose’s Almaden Hills United Methodist Church invites you to join the congregation on Sunday, June 1 for a day of celebration, dedication, and joy!
Start by attending one of the worship services, 9 a.m. or 10:30 a.m., for the dedication of the newly remodeled sanctuary, Judy Cathcart’s Art Room, and a new organ, pulpit, and more – and join the church in giving thanks for the many volunteers, pledges, and prayers that helped make the day possible.
Continue the celebration at 3 p.m. at the church’s Annual Spring Concert. The choir will perform five pieces, accompanied by The Almaden Hills Brass quintet; cellist David Boyle from Eastman School of Music and Catholic University; organist Dr. Timothy Zerlang, a lecturer in piano at Stanford University; and choir director John Hess. A festive reception in the Fellowship Hall will follow.
After two years of hard work, the Rev. Carole L. Vincent, pastor, reflects on the blessings and accomplishments achieved through the dedication and pledges of so many people. “Our congregation rejoices in the gifts of God, grateful for the many donors and volunteers who have made this work possible.
“These renovations bring greater flexibility to our worship space and offer upgraded facilities for broad community use, both now and in the future. Thanks be to God!” she says.
