One-Day Seminar on UM Organization and Structure at PSR in May

April 23, 2008

The Certificate of Ministry Studies Program Series at Pacific School of Religion is offering a one-day seminar on UMC Polity – organization and structure of The United Methodist Church – which may be of interest to lay persons throughout the California-Nevada conference.

The course will be offered Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the PSR campus in Berkeley, California and will be taught by The Rev. Jim Lockwood-Stewart. The one-day registration fee is $50/person.

The Certificate of Ministry Studies Program offers a variety of course seminars and intensives for lay persons and clergy who wish to expand their theological knowledge and reflection as well as their practical ministry skills. While the entire course of study to gain a certificate is two to two-and-a-half years, individual classes may be taken on a single-day registration basis and this option is highly recommended for all lay persons who wish to enhance their faith knowledge and praxis.
