Senior New Ways Board Member Succumbs

February 05, 2008

The Senior New Ways organization is mourning the loss of a member of its Board of Directors.

Writes Executive Director, Judith Pruess-Mellow, “We have been greatly saddened this last month by the grave illness and subsequent death, January 30, of Carol Stetson. Carol was a truly authentic person. She was sincere, fun-loving and loving, humble, smart, spiritually oriented, insightful, hardworking, caring and dedicated. Carol worked for many years at SRI in Menlo Park. In the last few years, she also enjoyed her appointment to First UMC Sunnyvale as a Certified Lay Minister. She and Bob had an admirable relationship, and we ask your prayers and thoughts for him and their entire family during the coming months.”

Bob Stetson is also a member of the Senior New Ways Board.

Calling the Board of Directors “very dedicated and hardworking,” Pruess-Mellow adds, “Our organization is indebted to them for the great work each of them does … we are immeasurably thankful for each of them.”

John Lehman serves as Chair, alongside Mark Bollwinkel, Vicki Bohan, Cathy Chavez, Becky Everett, Holly French, Sharlyn Heron, Larry Kavinoky, and Julie Tsoi Rockhold.
