Mastering the Magic of Love training

August 20, 2007

What is at the heart of a healthy family? A strong marriage. How best can marriage be strengthened? Through faith. Therefore it’s no coincidence that UM churches are very much in the marriage-strengthening business.

A marriage-enrichment course popular with many churches is Ten Great Dates. Now churches interested in presenting the follow-up course, Mastering the Magic of Love (MML), can train leaders at a greatly discounted rate.

A three-day training session for MML leaders has been scheduled for September 24-26, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, at River Oak Center for Children, 5030 El Camino Avenue, Carmichael, California.

The normal fee of $250 per person has been reduced to just $35 per person for this class.

Those who complete the training will become certified instructors in Mastering the Magic of Love, a curriculum recognized as one of the most effective marriage education programs available. They will be able to teach 10 skills that enable couples to uncover and communicate their deepest feelings, concerns and desires and create win-win solutions to even their most difficult problems. The program uses a variety of techniques including role-play, skills-training, and coaching format.

Trainer Carolyn Rich Curtis, Ph.D. is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 30 years of clinical experience, specializing in working with couples.
