Conference website rolls out new look
The new www.cnumc.org website has something for just about everyone – easy access to news and calendars, an easy to personalize web page for every church in the conference, forms and resources for your church ministry, and the ability to grow Cal-Nevada Conference into new ways of doing ministry and mission in the 21st century.
For the next several weeks, we plan to feature things about the site that we hope you’ll check out. The first one is the "Local Church Dashboard," a password protected area of the website just for local churches. Many of you have already discovered the new online church directory, which can feature a photo of your church, worship times, and even directions for getting to your church.
The Church Dashboard can also publish classified ads for open jobs, for sale or giveaway items, or items you want to turn into another church’s treasure! These classifieds will appear on your church’s page on the conference site, as well as among all the classified ads submitted to the conference in an online classifieds directory. You can also publish upcoming church events that will appear on your church’s page and on a special church events calendar on the conference site.
To get you started using the Church Dashboard, a mailing is going out to every church, giving its username and password. Please be on the lookout for this mailing! Included will be a memo of explanation and instructions for logging in and a Dashboard Primer that walks you through this great new web tool.
Once you receive your username and password you can access the log-in page by clicking “Church Login” on the home page of www.cnumc.org. Look for it on the right under the Calendar. Once you’ve logged into the Dashboard, you can access help files that walk you through the process of adding classifieds or events, or updating your church information.
The new www.cnumc.org will continue to grow with the ministry of the Conference – and as we get updated information from the program areas, we will be adding it. In the meantime a new landscape is waiting for you to explore – AND – we want to hear from you! If you have suggestions or you can’t find something that you are used to seeing, contact us at email@example.com.
In the coming weeks look for more articles that will introduce you to more new sections on the website, all designed with our churches in mind!
