2007 offers UMs plenty of opportunities for travel!

Holy Land travel planned for November 2007
Conference Statistician and Wasco UMC Pastor, Rev. J. Scott Allred is planning a tour to Israel in November 2007.

The travel agent for the trip is Beverly Robb from Houston, Texas. Mrs. Robb owns and operates Omega Travel and is a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church where her husband, Ed Robb Jr., is the pastor. She has led and organized many tours of the Holy Land, England, and the Steps of Paul in Greece and the Mediterranean.

The guide for the trip will be Mr. Mishi Neubach of Jerusalem. Mr. Neubach has been leading historical tours of Israel since the early 1970s. He is a great guide, and has degrees in both History and Christian Doctrine. Many groups appreciate his presentation of the life and ministry of Jesus from an historical and Jewish perspective, and seek him out. He was asked by the Israeli Government to be the personal tour guide of former United States Presidents George H.W. Bush and William Clinton.

The dates for this trip are November 5-15. The cost is $2,599 per person, which includes airfare, transportation in Israel, all hotels, two meals a day, flight insurance, and all gratuities. Lodging is in five-star hotels, and the tour will journey to many biblical locations such as Nazareth, Galilee, Carmel, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, Masada, Joppa and the Coast, and of course Jerusalem. (The cost is dependent on a minimum of 20 total passengers, and is for departure from LAX. Arrangements can be made to leave from SFO, but this will vary the price for those who would desire this change.)

This trip is open to all interested persons across our Conference. It will be a spiritual experience for all, and a wonderful opportunity to walk where Jesus walked!
