Bishop Brown's Celebrating Fruitfulness and Faithfulness Tour Kicks Off Next Weekend

Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr. will be journeying across the California-Nevada Annual Conference to celebrate the fruitfulness and faithfulness of congregations-clergy and laity-doing dynamic ministry. The first two events will take place on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16.
Bishop Brown will preach for both events and then lead a town hall style question and answer session sharing the places of fruitfulness and faithfulness that he is excited about in the annual conference and throughout the world. The events will also lift up Imagine No Malaria and Connectional giving through the tithe. Each church is also asked to bring a poster that celebrates its fruitfulness and faithfulness.
The first event will take place on Saturday, November 15 at 10 a.m. at Foothills UMC, 3301 Green Valley Road, Rescue, CA. A multi-church worship team being led by Shannon Black, contemporary worship leader at Yuba City First UMC, Foothills UMC choir, and the Loomis UMC choir will perform. It is hosted by the churches of Great Northern District's Circuit on the Rise, Three Rivers Circuit, and the NUTS Circuit.
The second event will take place on Sunday, November 16, at 2:30 p.m. at South Reno UMC, 200 De Spain Lane, Reno, NV. A multi-church worship team lead by Joyce Garcia, worship leader at St. Paul's UMC, Reno First Tongan Fellowship Choir, and a multi-church choir led by Cindy Sabatini, director of music ministries at Sparks UMC will perform. It is hosted by the churches of Great Northern District's Reno-Sparks-Carson City Circuit, Sunrise Circuit, and the Plumas-Lassen Circuit.
Bishop Brown will also preach on Sunday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at Spark’s UMC, 1231 Pyramid Way, Sparks, NV.
Other regional events will take place on the following dates:
* February 21-22, 2015 in the Sacramento and Oakland areas;
* March 28-29, 2015 in the San Jose and Peninsula areas; and
* October 17-18, 2015 in the Fresno/Visalia and Modesto areas.
People are encouraged to attend the event most convenient to them.
