Shalom Training Introductory Workshop in San Francisco Bay Area (Vallejo)

A Shalom Training Introductory Workshop in San Francisco Bay Area (Vallejo) will take place on Saturday, November 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be led by National/International Director, Dr. Michael J. Christensen, Associate Professor at Drew University, and Pastor of Epworth Berkeley UMC; and National Trainer, Dr. Fredrick Douglas Smith, Pastor of Wayside UMC in Vallejo; with a special presentation on community organizing by representatives from a local community-organizing group.

The event is being sponsored by Shalom Resource Center, Drew University, Madison, NJ, and the California-Nevada Annual Conference and is being hosted by Wayside United Methodist Church, 2309 Columbus Parkway, Vallejo, CA 94591, phone (707) 643-3108. The introductory workshop (9 a.m. to noon) will be followed by a light lunch. Registration is required and is a $10 program fee for lunch and training supplies. Focus on the session on information/orientation/introduction to the ShalomZone Training course (7 sessions) for those considering the training which begins on February 1, 2014.
