Protecting Children in Palestine

October 03, 2013

Protecting children in Palestine will be the topic of discussion with guest speakers from Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCI-P) on Wednesday, Oct 16, at 7 p.m. The event is being hosted at First United Methodist Church, 2100 J St., Sacramento.   Children bear the brunt of Israel’s military occupation of the Palestinian territories. Since the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising in 2000, Israeli forces have killed more than 1,300 children. A further 8,000 have been detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military detention system.  DCI-P representatives will report on their work in Palestine including providing legal aid to Palestinian children detained and prosecuted in both the Israeli military court system and Palestinian Authority courts.   The event is sponsored by Jewish Voice for Peace-Sacramento and Friends of Sabeel-Sacramento Region which meets at First United Methodist Church, Sacramento.  For more information contact or
