Twin Towers United Methodist Church in Alameda, CA is inviting everyone to their celebration of becoming a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) on Sunday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary as part of the worship service on World Communion Sunday.
Twin Towers and its members, in taking this official stance of joining RMN, is proclaiming its commitment to share God's love with all people, affirming that all persons are welcomed without regard to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, mental ability, marital status, or economic condition. Twin Towers is a faith community in which all people can grow in relationship with God and with others. "This isn't anything new, really. We have been an inclusive and welcoming congregation all along," said Pastor Don Cunningham, "and, at this time, we are taking this opportunity to formalize our inclusiveness."

The ministry team will dedicate a rainbow flag that will be displayed at the church as a manifestation of Twin Towers' commitment to welcoming, loving, and embracing all of God's people.

RMN is a grassroots organization that mobilizes United Methodists of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform the Church and the world into the full expression of Christ's inclusive love.

Twin Towers UMC is located at 1411 Oak, Alameda, CA, 94501. For more information, visit the church website at or contact Steve Garner at
