A Wesleyan Model of Discipleship: Creating Communities of Love Expressed Through Personal Spirituality and Social Responsibility

The Salinas Valley and Monterey Peninsula Circuit is pleased to announce an upcoming Workshop that they are sponsoring on Saturday, September 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marina/Caanan Korean United Methodist Church. The Rev. Greg Bergquist, Conference Superintendent for Leadership Development, will be the featured speaker on the theme, "A Wesleyan Model of Discipleship: Creating communities of Love Expressed Through Personal Spirituality and Social Responsibility."

Although this is a circuit event for lay people and clergy, clergy and laity from other circuits are welcome. Rev. Bergquist will discuss ways of expanding small group ministries with a focus on creating intentional Discipleship Groups. He will provide input and allow time for reflection in ministry teams as to how some of these methods in local congregations.
