Consecration of Virginia Maniti Williams Ministry Center
September 24, 2015
On September 20, Saint Paul UMC of Fremont gathered in worship for the consecration of the Virginia Maniti Williams Ministry Center. Bishop Warner H. Brown Jr. preached on “The Meeting Place” from Matthew 28:16-20 and led the consecration ceremony. El Camino Real District Superintendent, the Rev. Staci Current, joined the service and they were led in worship by their praise team and many worship leaders with special music from the Kingdom Kidz Choir and Agape Choir.
The family of Deaconess Virginia Maniti Williams received a special plaque that will hang at the new entrance to Precious Time Christian Preschool. Deaconess Virginia lived a life inspired by God and made that God incarnate through her service as Director of Children’s Ministry and initiating the formation of Precious Time Christian Preschool. Her witness continues to intersect with so many children, families and volunteers impacted by these ongoing ministries.
The current property was purchased in 1984 with the original building completed in 1994. The plans for the Ministry Center were part of the original proposal for the campus to city planning. The capital campaign, "Building A Future Through Faith," ran from 2011 to 2014 with the help of the United Methodist Foundation.
The new two-story Ministry Center adds three classrooms on each floor, a lounge, conference room, storage and bathrooms. It will allow the Preschool and Sunday school to expand and provide space for other classes, meetings, and ministries.
