September 24, 2015
Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr., along with religious and community leaders from across the country, recently attended a private screening of Oprah Winfrey's upcoming seven-night television series, "Belief." The screening took place at Winfrey's home in Montecito, California.
The seven-night documentary series, to premier on October 18 on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), will explore beliefs around the world and humankind's ongoing search for meaning and connection. Through emotional storytelling, and cinematic visual imagery, "Belief" seeks to illuminate the best of faith and spiritual practices from around the world—the rituals, stories, and relationships that bind human beings together.
Oprah Winfrey says, "For the past three years, my team and I have been working to find the most compelling and thoughtful stories of faith, love, and devotion from around the world." She added, "This truly has been my heart's work, to be able to share stories like these that reflect our world and explore humankind's ongoing search to connect with something greater than ourselves.
