The Thomas Food Project Manager Visits California-Nevada

August 13, 2014

Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr. (center) welcomes James Orphio Lazarre (left), The Thomas Food Project Manager, and Warren McGuffin (right), The Thomas Food Project Director, to the Conference Center.  The Thomas Food Project was started when McGuffin and other members of a United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) team visited Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Lazarre is visiting churches in the California-Nevada Conference who support the project.  McGuffin, an active layperson at San Ramon Valley UMC, was awarded a Bishop's Award during the 2014 Annual Conference Session in Burlingame.
