Peace with Justice Sunday, June 15 (or any Sunday, convenient for your church)

Peace with Justice Sunday spreads the Gospel of Peace and encourages cooperation locally in the United States and globally.
Gifts in support of Peace with Justice Sunday this year have provided funding for the following four California-Nevada ministries: $500 to Rev. Kang Won Lee, Oakland-Korean UMC, toward their Community Outreach And Neighborhood Ministry Program; $750 to Rev. Carol M. Carter, Pioneer UMC, Auburn for The Restorative Justice Project of Placer People of Faith Together; Lifelines to Healing; $500 to Gerald Lenoir, Black Alliance for Just Immigration, Oakland; and, $500 to Rev. Paul Joseph T. Khamdy Yang, Smith River UMC for  the “Community for Life” program against racism.

The California-Nevada Conference keeps 50% of the receipts for Peace With Justice ministries, and the remaining 50% is used for Peace With Justice ministries related to the General Board of Church and Society.
California-Nevada Conference grant guidelines and applications for up to $1500 are available from and due August 15.
