Book Donations Needed for Indonesia

May 12, 2014

Indonesia’s Christian Church of Sumba School of Theology (Sekolah Tinggi Theologi Gereja Kristen Sumba) is in crucial need of Hebrew and Greek Bibles and dictionaries, as well as English language Biblical commentaries for its seminary library.  It is expected that donated books will be in good condition.  This request for assistance comes from the Rev. Irene Umbu Lolo, STT GKT Dean.  Persons willing to help with this project can either arrange to deliver books to John Chamberlin at the Annual Conference Session, or mail them to his home address at 1221 34th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94122.  Monetary contributions to help defray shipping costs will also be accepted.  Those wanting to make their donations tax-deductible can send checks to “First United Methodist Church of Hayward,” earmarked “ETRO-Sumba” on the memo line.  The address is 1183 B Street, Hayward, CA 94541. For additional information or questions, contact Chamberlin at (510) 270-8399, or email Chamberlain is the National Coordinator of East Timor Religious Outreach, a ministry of Hayward First UMC.
