UMCOR Relief Kit Ministry at Annual Conference Session

May 28, 2015

Once again United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Relief Kits will be collected at California-Nevada Annual Conference and shipped to the UMCOR West Depot in Salt Lake City. Assembled kits can be passed along to delegates and pastors to transport to the annual conference session in Burlingame.  A team of volunteers will collect the kits and prepare them for the next step in the journey of relief.  For the third year in a row, UMCOR and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) are partnering in a common humanitarian effort by transporting much needed relief supplies to UMCOR West.  Using Latter-day Saints owned Deseret Transportation trucks, all relief supply materials collected at the California-Nevada Annual Conference will be palletized and loaded for transport on Friday, June 19.  This is a great way to save money on shipping supplies to UMCOR West in Salt Lake City as well as a way to celebrate the ongoing and growing relationship shared between the UMC and the LDS Church.  For a complete list of the items needed at UMCOR West please visit www.UMCOR.org/UMCOR/Relief-Supplies.
