Bishops' Letter Pledges to Protect God's Creation
A Pastoral Letter from the Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church, November 3, 2009, pledges to protect God's creation by focusing on three interconnected global threats:
- pandemic poverty and disease;
- environmental degradation, and
- the proliferation of weapons and violence.
The Conference Board of Church & Society's GREEN web page is a positive response to the second concern raised above.
