Glide Memorial United Methodist Church - San Francisco
Glide's comprehensive programs seek to meet basic human needs - providing prevention, intervention & educational services in a diverse setting. Services include daily free meals, HIV/AIDS testing & counseling, a walk-in center, a health clinic, computer learning & training, family, youth & childcare services, a recovery program, job development training & placement, and much more. Over 60% of all our work is provided by the generous commitment of Glide volunteers. Potter Valley Community United Methodist Church
There is the need for someone to design a plan for rebuilding the exterior fire-escape, deck and handicap access ramp in the rear of the church. Funds are available for th rebuild but the church is waiting on the design and volunteers to help with the work. For additional information about this project contact the host site coordinator, Rev. East Salinas Family United Methodist Church
This is a mission outreach center and church to the Hispanic community in Salinas, CA - home territory to John Steinbeck. Battle Mountain United Methodist Church
Historic church in Battle Mountain, Nevada with failing foundation needs concrete work. For additional information about this project contact the host site coordinator, Rev. Judith Donaldson at (775) 635-5622.
 
Camp Monte Toyon
United Methodist camp set in the redwoods near Aptos, CA (between Santa Cruz and Monterey). Numerous camp renovations needed. Available year-round. For additional information about specific projects that may be available at this camp please contact the California-Nevada Annual Conference Interim Director of the UM Volunteers in Mission program, Phil Bandy at (916) 374-1582 or philb@calnevumc.org.
 
Camp Lodestar
On the west slopes of the Sierra Mountains in the California Gold Country, 2-hour drive from Sacramento. Kitchen renovation; new sleeping cabin construction; cabin renovations and re-roofing;  landscaping; deck and stair reconstruction; and general maintenance needed. Accommodating groups of 12 to 120. Schurz United Methodist Church
Schurz UMC is located in rural western Nevada on the Walker River Indian Reservation. The Sanctuary, Parsonage, and Community buildings need some repairs and maintenance - specifically, the restroom and furnace in the community building, the evaporative cooler and roof of the Parsonage and the evaporative cooler problem in the Sanctuary. Non-construction teams are possible at this church. Housing is available at the church for small teams of 8 or less.
