Abide In Love

 

Abide in Love, is a partnering organization of the California Healthy Marriages Coalition* and is a ministry endorsed by the CA-NV Conference Board of Discipleship.

 Our goal is to assist and sustain the development of marriage and relationship education ministries for United Methodist churches and fellowships in the California-Nevada Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

We do not DEFINE marriage, we provide education to BE married or in a relationship.

A Marriage Ministry OR Relationship Ministry is an ongoing education ministry that is focused on teaching relationship skills to couples and individuals. The ministry can be started in different ways and can have a focus based on the needs and location of your congregation.

* In 2006, California Healthy Marriages Coalition received the nation’s largest Federal Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant ($2.4 million per year for five years) to increase access and availability of Marriage Education and Relationship Skills programs in California. Abide in Love became a partnering organization with CHMC in 2007.
