Young People's Ministries
Young People's Ministry is ALL ABOUT CONNECTIONS...
We serve those who are in youth and young adult ministries and the workers who lead them.
Our purpose is to help local churches do what they do more successfully by offering resources, leadership training, and high-quality, high-energy evernts for the students. We also provide:
- Connection to our Campus Ministries Programs
- Materials for your ministry program
- Program support and "spreading the word" about your event or idea
- Education and training opportunities available for you and your congregation
- Coordination of events that connect us as a Conference and as a denomination

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES:
Helping others is a lifestyle. Our desire is to help your people learn how to help others, in their everyday lives and around the world.
Youth groups are now invited to Haiti. Not being allowed previously makes this a great opportunity to make a difference. Mission Volunteers are working on new guidelines for youth groups and will share them when they are finalized. For more information, contact the UMVIM office at umvim@calnevumc.org.
Sierra Service Project (SSP) is offering four "Weekend of Service" projects to churches throughout northern California this winter - Jan. 13-15, Jan. 27-29, Feb. 10-12, and Feb. 17-19, 2012. For more information visit the SSP website at sierraserviceproject.org, or contact the SSP office at 916.488.6441 or director@sierraserviceproject.org.
