Retired Clergy Spring Fling
The Retired Clergy Association of the California-Nevada Conference will host its Spring Fling May 1 to 2. The theme for the event is "Where Are We Headed?" Speakers will be retired United Methodist Bishops Roy Sano and Melvin Talbert. The Rev. Don Lee, pastor of First United Methodist Church Sacramento, will be the song leader, and John Auer, will serve as the worship leader.

RCA Spring Fling Retreat Planned for Late April
The Spring Fling Retreat - an annual event sponsored by the Retired Clergy Association of the California-Nevada Annual Conference - will take place Wed.-Thurs., April 22-23, at Christ the King Retreat Center in Citrus Heights, California.
The Rev. Dr. Eugene Lowry, renowned author and lecturer, will be the featured speaker.
The Spring Fling also will feature a dialogue with Bishop Warner H. Brown, Jr., resident Bishop of the Cal-Nevada Conference.

In what many hope will become an annual event, thirteen members of the Retired Clergy Association (RCA) of the California-Nevada Annual Conference headed to New Orleans to participate in the ongoing effort to rebuild the Katrina-devastated city.

Greetings to all in the Conference who have been so helpful to me!
I am now beginning my third week of medical leave, continuing to recuperate quickly at home, with doctor’s visits on Monday, October 29 to scope out radiation procedures, and on Tuesday, October 30 to do a PET-Scan (to see if there was any other problem besides the tumor).
