The Communications Office of the California-Nevada Annual Conference received two mentions in the February, 2011 CORR{ageous}! Times – an electronic newsletter from the General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR).

In How to Communicate – Telling Your CORR Story, readers are invited to listen to a Jan. 25 webinar in which Cal-Nev Communications Director Cate Monaghan contributed to a discussion about how a Conference's Commission on Religion and Race can increase its recognition quotient.
 
And in Drop the I-Word Gets Radio Play – How Cal-Nevada Brought Attention to the I-Word Campaign in Local Media, readers are directed to the Cal-Nev Conference website to hear the Dec. 14 Capitol Public Radio "Insight" segment featuring the Revs. Jola Bortner and Dale Weatherspoon, who talked about the UMC's stance on immigration reform as well as the "Drop the I-Word" Campaign.
