Changing the World by Caring for the Earth

On Sunday, April 25, 2010, 20 volunteers from the United Methodist Church of Santa Cruz fanned out through the neighborhood surrounding the church picking up trash and connecting with our larger community. 

Collectively the group spent three hours and collected approximately 50 pounds of trash. As a result of this experience the congregation decided to "adopt" a public park and wetland area near the church and to provide litter clean up on an on-going basis.
